Submission process

Authors are also informed to check our template available in download section, prepare the article in the format and submit for processing matching author guidelines, please ensure that authors had obtained necessary permissions for the content, images, tables, figures used in the article from their respective owners before submission.

Prepared should be send as an attachment to submissions@jrsgis.com for processing, standard editorial procedure will be followed for the processing of article. Authors are informed to submit only in MS word format which is the preferred format of submission, do not submit any other file during initial submission process.

Frequency of publication

JRSGIS is published as a half yearly journal which publishes with continuous article publishing/ online first policy that enables authors to have their article online once the peer review and editorial process is completed. Published articles will be attached to the yearly issue during the course of time.. Special editions are also planned subjected to the scope and need. We are also keen on publishing special issues if need and scope arises, conference articles which are peer reviewed are also welcome for possible consideration.

Article processing

All submitted articles will be initially subjected to editorial procedures, if found suitable for publishing will be sent to reviewers for peer review. Authors are also invited to suggest at least three potential reviewers who can review their article. It is not mandatory for the editor to send the articles only to the reviewer referred by authors, it is at discretion of the editor to send articles to any reviewer of his/ her choice. Once the review process is over and the article is accepted authors will be intimated over mail about further processing. Mostly the review process will be completed within 5-10 days from the date of submission. We are taking utmost effort to make the article online within shortest possible duration.

Abstracting and Indexing

One of our main focus is to disseminate published articles through various academic databases, with our strong exposure in this domain our editorial board is thriving hard to index JRSGIS in major databases.

Processing fee

Please refer the fee page for complete details about the processing fee and fee waiver cases available for the authors submitting papers to this journal. As of now there is no intension shown from the management team to charge authors for their article processing and it will be completely free to publish until further notice

Plagiarism

JRSGIS board is against the usage of plagiarism in any format by the potential authors of our journal, we are presently using Plagscan and Ithenticate for screening the articles submitted for possible publication. We being member of COPE will follow its policy if plagiarism is found in the submitted article, our editors will respong according to the general guidelines provided by COPE if plagiarism is found in the article. Authors are suggested to prescreen their articles using any plagiarism checking tool/ software before submitting their articles to JRSGIS.

Permission and rights

It is assumed that authors through the submission possess all the necessaryt rights and permission for the content used in their respective articles submitted for review, authors are informed to obtain necessary permission from respetive copyright owners for the content including figures, tables, materials before submitting the article for review.

Ethics in publishing

JRSGIS and its editorial board thrive to achieve the publication by ethical means, we are member of COPE ( Committee on Publishing Ethics) through IPA and follow the procedures and guidelines of COPE strictly. All articles submitted to JRSGIS are screened properly for any plagiarised content through Plagsan software . All issues that arise in publishing will be dealt according to COPE guidelines and we inisist authors submitting articles to JRSGIS to follow ethical publishing practices which will not only enhance the quality of their work but also will support the development of Science.

Copyright

We are adopting open access publishing policy in which all articles submitted to JRSGIS will be published under Creative Commons Attribution Licence (3.0) . Copyright of the pubished articles will be with the concerned authors as per the license, authors will be requested to grant first publishing rights to JRSGIS. Under this license authors published article can be posted in their personal or their institutions website, can be emailed to their friends and colleagues, also may be printed, freely distributed, archived in any collection, included in a course material, quoted in publications, translated and distributed, provided that the original work is cited.
